Capital Summertime Ball 2015

April 27th: Capital FM announced the first act to perform at Summertime Ball 2015 and it is... (drums roll)... ONE DIRECTION!! Yes! I don't have to wait for their concert in September to finally see them. They say the pre-sale will be on Wednesday for the VIP members and the normal sale on Friday. Let's be VIP then! ;)

April 29th: Big day today! It's time to have my tickets. Phone ready since 7 a.m I am discovering the line-up while I am waiting for my turn to buy tickets. Half an hour later it's finally my turn to buy so I select 3 places and I get soe pretty good seats. Unfortunately when I was about to confirm all my details they put me in the waiting line again. So I'm getting mad and think of giving up because I don't want to wait for another 30 minutes but I decide to be patient because I really want to see One Direction and probably some artists I like for my birthday. Time to purchase the tickets again. This time I got not so good seating (but it could be worst or no seating at all so don't complain Anna!) and can finally have the confirmation I am going to Capital Summertime Ball. Let's see the rest of the line-up tomorrow.

May 9th: Capital FM announced Sam Smith won't be performing due to his surgery.
(Nooooooooo!!!!)

May 30th: I've finally received my tickets!!!!

June 6th: The D-Day finally arrived and we could not believe it. We were so excited! I personally could feel butterflies in my stomach as we were getting closer to Wembley. As predicted, we were in the highest row of the stadium (block 552 row 40). The artists on stage were tiny but we could see what was happening backstage and Niall Horan from One Direction waved at us (fanigirl moment).
The show was great and went so fast!! The stadium was full with all generations mixed. As I was far away from the stage, my photos and videos (see line up at the top) are not great so here are the official one (all credit to Capital FM).

Here is the quality of my photos

Cardiff

Last weekend, I went to Cardiff to visit one of my friends. We met at the train station Cardiff Central. The first thing you notice when you arrive in Wales is the fact that everything is written in English and Welsh. So we walked around the city centre before going to her place further in Cardiff. We stopped at the Castle so I could have my tourist picture (Haha!) and we had a walk in Bute Park just behing it. I have to say the parks in the Welsh capital are really nice and the blossoming trees was creating a pretty spring atmosphere.

After a short break at my friend's, we headed to Cardiff Bay. It's quite far from the city centre and the way to go is empty or at least residential. In Cardiff Bay you have: the Wales Millenium Centre, the Parliament, Doctor Who Experience. The place is really nice for a family day out. There are lots of restaurants on the footbridge, a caroussel for the children, and you can have a boat tour around the Bay. We had lovely welshcakes in a shop called 'Fabulous'.

Before going back home for dinner, we visited Roath Park. To be honest I prefer this one compare to Bute Park. One side of the park is a wonderful botanical garden full of roses, tulips and wild flowers. Theres is a big lake with ducks and swans, a playground, basketball grounds, football grounds, tennis courts,...

Sunday morning, we realised yesterday we visited most of Cardiff so today is all about chilling in the town centre.  We had breakfast at Harverster. I highly recommend you this restaurant because when you don't have much money it is just the best place to go. We had unlimited breakfast for £2.99 it was heaven on Earth. After feeling our belly we went to St David's shopping centre, to souvenir shops,... As we had some time to kill before I went back to the train station, we went to Bute Park again and we walked all around the Millenium Stadium.

And that's it! This is how you spend a good weekend in Cardiff! :)

Easter Weekend: Devon & Cornwall

Thanks to Hannah and Suzie (her hostmum's mum) I spent the long weekend of Easter exploring Devon & Cornwall. Me, Hannah and her mum took the train on Friday morning. The journey was quite long to be honest. Then we were welcomed by Suzie and her husband at Newton Abbot's station. Once arrived at their place we chilled and talked until lunch. During the afternoon we drived in the Dartmoor National Park by car. It was really misty so we couldn't stop or take pictures. Despite the weather the scenery was breathtaking. It looked like we were in the Irish countryside or in Lord of the Rings. We stopped in a village named Widecombe-in-the-Moor to buy souvenirs and have a cream tea with real clotted cream (Yum!).
On Saturday we went to St Ives, in Cornwall. We were all pretty excited to go. After the pictures I saw on Instagram I couldn't wait to see it. It was a three-hour trip by train. As much as the day before so the time was never ending. Once arrived it wasn't especially sunny but at least the weather was dry. We walked  down the town centre to find a bakery selling Cornish Pasties and souvenir shops. Then we had a walk along the seaside. St Ives is a charming city. It reminded me of Brittany. To finish our day we had a drink in a pub before heading back to Ashburton.
On Sunday we didn't do much. We walked around Ashburton to find a pub opened on Easter day. We finally found one called Royal Oak Inn. I had my first traditional Sunday lunch in a pub I was happy.
On Monday morning, after these three nice days we thanked our hosts and took the train back home.
